All the English based "cousins" (Judy, Jane, Kirsty and Sarah) went off to see Cinderella, at the Old Vic theatre this week. What a great production. Laugh, I nearly fell off my chair - "oh yes I did"
The fairy godmother was Pauline Collins (some of you may remember her starring in Shirley Valentine). The ugly sisters (Dolce and Gabana) were great, Buttons (Paul Keating) was very gay (stole the show really) and eventually found love with Dandini, Prince Charming's cousin (is there a cousin theme emerging here?). The mice puppets were big stars, and the inevitable cow, who made us all sing....
It was fantastic, the wit and humour was amazing, the costumes glorious, the whole thing just so much fun!
